The Bay of Plenty surfers remember all too well the struggles of surfing on an empty stomach. Two local surfers decided to do something about it and pulled up in their 1986 Bedford van loaded with frozen and ready-to-blend smoothies. The Stoke was real and shakas were thrown when The Sandbank ended the greatest smoothie droughtof all time.
